Have you ever been witnessing to someone when they looked at you funny and asked what dose the Triune Nature of God mean or what it is? I had this question asked of me a couple of days back and it has gotten me to thinking on how to explain it to where a new Christian could began to grasp it. Thus far the best analogy  I have come up with is to use that of water. Water can be Ice, Liquid, or Gas yet in each state it still remains pure onto itself as H2O. As with God rather we are discussing God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, or The Holy Spirit we are still referring to the purity and essence of God Himself.
Everyone help me come up with more and better ways to convey the understanding of the improbable math equation of 3=1=3, the world says it dose not add up but as children of God we know it is the one truly correct math equation. Anyway thanks for any help on this and May God Bless.

Near the Cross.....

Good Morning!
I have been wanting to post to this topic for quite some while but always seemed to get side tracked. Sorry. Here is one possible way to explain the triune existence of God.

We are taught that the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit are all the same person becoming a triune God. In which is correct as we are taught in the Word of God. Let's break it down...

The Father
He is the source of all things, seen and unseen. All things proceed from Him as he is omnipresent.

The Son
He proceeds from or is revealed by the Father, becoming the visible aspect of the Father. When we see Him, we are looking at the Father in the flesh.

The Holy Spirit
He is the power that makes the experience of seeing God possible.

So we have 1 source, 1 flesh, 1 spirit that equals 1 God. Each a distinct part of one whole.

The "process" of God is this:

1. The Father thinks or has a thought;
2. The Father speaks the Word;(the Son)
3. The Father makes the Word reality by His Power (Spirit)

In the 3 stage process, if you will, the Father is the beginning and the end of the process.

Jesus said, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end."

The bottom line is that there is but ONLY ONE person, God! Whether seen or unseen He is still ONE.

I hope this helps!

God bless and open our understanding!

Greg

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  1 Corinthians 1:18

Nicely said brother.
The subject of the Trinity is one which has caused much decension since Christ walked the face of earth in a body of flesh. I find it intrsting that you can discuss this with peaople and you find such a vast array of views and beliefs. I often wonder if ,as is so often the case, the current "Christian" doctrines do not create more confussion then understanding on this matter. God explains it well in His Word and yet we continue to allow our own limited understanding and interpretations to impact the teachings. I am fearful we are doing with this just as the US government is doing with the constitution in that we spend so much time figuring out what the indipendent words mean we miss the entire message.
Anyway I ramble, again nicely said and I will talk with you later.
